Kia’s new E-GMP platform bestows the EV6 with brand new features and offers increased space compared to other models based on existing model architecture. Firstly, the 77.4kWh battery pack means it’s capable of driving more than 316 miles on a single charge – that’s enough to drive from London to Newcastle, or even Paris. And with zero tailpipe emissions.

If you do need to stop for a top-up, 800-volt ultra-fast charging can take you from 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes. Simply want a few extra miles to get you home? In less than four and a half minutes, you can add an extra 60 miles range.

It’s not just the charging that’s rapid, either. There’s performance to match. The EV6 GT surges from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 160mph. It can tow up to 1,600kg, too.

Business benefits

Being fully electric, the Kia EV6 attracts a BIK tax rate of just 1% in 2021, which could mean notable savings over a three-year cycle. And, the BIK tax rate for EVs will remain at 2% from 2022 until 2025 – so you can budget with confidence. For context, a non-RDE2 diesel that emits 115g/km would attract a rate of 30% upwards.

The EV6 will also qualify for a full deduction in Capital Allowances. And, once you’re on the road, you’ll notice the running costs are lower, too. Electricity is markedly cheaper than petrol or diesel. Service and maintenance costs are lower, too. Leaving more money for you to spend on your next big business idea.

Elevated cabin space

Company car drivers tend to spend a lot more time in their vehicles than regular owners. So we at Kia understand the need to create a practical, comfortable space for you to be inspired. The EV6’s long wheelbase means the cabin space is similar to that of a mid-size SUV, despite the car's compact, parking-friendly exterior.

The lightweight Relaxation seats offer plenty of support for longer journeys, and feature premium, contemporary materials, such as vegan leather or robust fabrics made from recycled plastics.

One of the most striking elements is a seamless high-tech curved infotainment screen. The dual 12-inch displays use an inventive new structure, which means they’re easily visible even on the brightest days.

Making driving safer and less stressful

Of course, being safe on the road is vitally important. And, if you’re a fleet manager, you’ll also want to avoid your cars being out of action unnecessarily. EV6 is equipped with a suite of advanced technologies to make driving safer, easier and less stressful.

For example, Highway Driving Assist 2 maintains speed and distance from the vehicle ahead while keeping you centered in your lane. The system can detect and avoid a collision and can even change lanes for you when you indicate. So you’ll still feel fresh when you arrive for that important meeting.

Meanwhile, a new augmented reality head-up display projects useful information – such as speed or navigation instructions – onto the base of the windscreen, so there’s no need for you to take your eyes off the road.

Once you’ve arrived at your destination, EV6 is still looking out for you. Safe Exit Assist warns you if there is an approaching vehicle when you attempt to leave the car.
