Battery status and control
With our Kia Connect app services, you can remotely start, stop and schedule charging, and also see the status of your battery at a glance. This is ideal for making the most of off-peak electricity prices or checking if your car has has enough charge. -
Vehicle status, notifications and remote commands
Receive notifications on your app about key elements of your car such as door locks, windscreen washing fluid levels and battery health. You can even lock and unlock doors remotely. You will also have access to details of past trips and driving stats. -
Climate Control*
Remotely activate, set and schedule climate control so you no longer have to scrape that windscreen in winter. Reaching your set temperature while the vehicle is charging also helps you conserve precious driving range. *Available on EVs only.

Valet Mode
Handing your keys over to someone else? Activating the valet mode in your Kia lets you track your car's whereabouts and gives you stats about its speed, driving time and distance travelled. The other driver will also be prevented from accessing personal information, such as your navigation history or contacts. -
Find My Car
With Find My Car, you can always know your car's exact location. Let the Kia Connect app guide you to your car with confidence. When parking before reaching your final destination, the app walks you the last bit of the way using Google Maps or augmented reality. -
Favourite destinations and send-to-car
Waste no time finding your destination. The favourite addresses you set in your app are automatically replicated in your car. You can also find a destination on your phone and send it straight to your navigation system.

Locking and unlocking.
You no longer need to fumble around for keys to access your car. To lock or unlock your Kia, just keep your smartphone in your pocket. As you come within about a 1-meter radius, your Kia will unlock automatically.
Starting your Kia.
Having your smartphone in the vehicle is all you need to start your Kia. You can simply begin your journey by pressing the brake pedal and start button as usual.

Kia Digital Key can be easily activated through the Kia Connect App, an activation URL, or by entering an activation code.
After connecting the app to your vehicle, you will immediately receive complete instructions in a separate email, including the activation link and code for your mobile phone.

What is valet mode? What is valet mode?
Valet mode is a feature that protects your personal information when you allow someone else to drive your vehicle. After activating valet mode on your infotainment screen, the driver will be locked out of your personal information, such as navigation history or phone contacts, as well as functions like the car radio.
Valet mode will also provide information on how the vehicle was driven by your approved driver, such as the distance travelled, top speed, and hours since activation.

To connect your phone to your Kia car, start by downloading the Kia Connect app. Create an account by providing your information and setting a password.
The next step is to select 'Kia Connect' on your infotainment screen. Click 'Kia Connect Settings', followed by 'Modem Information'.
In the app, click 'Select Vehicle' followed by 'Add'. Accept the terms and privacy notice.
Select 'QR Code Scan', and scan the code generated on your infotainment screen. The screen will state that a verification code has been downloaded. Click 'Yes' to display the code, then enter it into the app and choose 'Add Vehicle'.
Your phone app should now be connected to your vehicle.

Kia Connect is free of charge for a 7-year period, commencing at the point where your new Kia's purchase agreement becomes effective.
Kia also offers two free updates per vehicle of the car's head unit software and navigation system via OTA. After this point, a paid subscription service will be required for further updates.

(1) Free 7-year Kia Connect services
The Services are provided free of charge for a period of 7 years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective. We reserve the right to propose additional services in the future subject to separate terms of use. (2) Over-the-Air updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
