Kia EV6 GT Applauded for its Sensational Performance

In his Autocar review, automotive journalist Felix Page lauded the Kia EV6 GT as “a recipe to be celebrated, even for enthusiasts”. With an impressive electric range of up to 263 miles* and 0-62mph in just 5.2 seconds, this ultra-modern crossover successfully blends pure electric power with GT credentials.

As Page reports, the EV6 GT finished in a close third place in Autocar’s ‘EV Handling Day’ competition. The sporty crossover came in a very close third behind the BMW i4 eDrive40 and Porsche Taycan GTS. Autocar commended how well the EV6 GT kept up with cars that cost twice the amount.

“That the Kia can hold a candle to the dynamic prowess of a five-star Porsche costing twice as much is testament to the makeover at the hands of Kia’s GT department,” wrote Page.

One of our best electric cars of 2022, the EV6 GT boasts a range of 285 miles between charges and ultra-fast charging from 10-80% in less than 20 minutes. With an inspiring interior fitted with lightweight bucket seats and Kia Connect services, the EV6 GT also creates an immersive and practical driver experience.

Page’s review also praised the dynamic performance and “compelling” driving experience the EV offers. He summarised the Kia EV6 GT ’s zero-emission capabilities, advanced connectivity and elevated comfort as “cause for extra celebration”.

“The stunning, smooth switchbacks north of Oslo gave scope to deploy its brutal shove between corners, while its unflappable turn-in and refusal to break trajectory mid-bend made rapid and rewarding work of even the tightest passes,” wrote Page.

Kia Picanto Praised as one of the Best Small Cars of 2022

Automotive journalist Piers Ward’s Autocar review applauded the “simple, joyous fun” of the Picanto driving experience, dubbing it “a riot to drive”. Ward also remarked on the longevity of the Picanto’s ongoing triumph on the roads. “The car has been on sale for five years, which shows that if you build it right in the first place, it’ll stay right".

When it comes to the best small cars of 2022, Autocar gives high praise to the Picanto. Ward highlighted the stylish hatchback as a commendable small family car family car, offering a “comfortable ride” for all four passengers.

As one of Kia’s most economical cars , the Picanto boasts an MPG of up to 58.9, ideal for fuel-efficient driving. Piers Ward made note of the value for money that the Picanto delivers. He applauded the dynamic performance of the sporty compact car as matching that of far less affordable cars on the market.

“Incredibly sharp turning with the body control of a car several times the price means it’s a hoot to drive,” wrote Ward. “Here’s hoping that manufacturers continue making them".
