Airbag
In a new Kia car, your safety is critical and is fitted with numerous airbags, which may include driver/passenger seat airbag, curtain airbag and front/rear side airbag.
Seat Belt Pre-tensioner
A seat belt pre-tensioner is a device that is used to hold a passenger firmly in their seat just before and at the start of a collision. This will then controls the way the passenger comes into contact with the inflated airbag.
Bumper Systems for Pedestrians
Upon impact between a pedestrian and a car, the lower legform or lower stiffener can minimize the bending of his/her knee and make him/her fall onto the car to reduce the possibility for him/her to go under the car and end up in a more critical state.

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

Designed to monitor and detect vehicles travelling ahead of you, the Autonomous Emergency Braking system automatically applies the brakes if it determines a crash is imminent, helping to avoid a frontal collision or mitigate the effects of a collision if it cannot be avoided.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

TPMS monitoring system is an active protection system that monitors the air pressure inside the tyres of your car and alerts you if there are any that are under-inflated.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD)

The available blind spot detection system actively monitors your blind spots for approaching vehicles and provides a visual alert on the instrument cluster and outside mirrors, as well as an audible alert when necessary.

Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)

With this system, abrupt braking while you drive triggers fast blinking of a brake lamp to alert cars behind you on any danger.

 

Safety Warning System

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) A camera mounted on top of the windshield recognises the lane in which the vehicle is currently travelling in, and provides corrective steering input in order to keep you from inadvertently crossing over into other lanes of traffic.
Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) Forward Collision Warning system activates and alerts when the vehicle detects objects immediately ahead that may cause a potential impact, encouraging the driver to decelerate.
Rear Cross Traffic Warning (RCTW) RCTW detects and warns the driver of cross traffic while in reverse by activating audible and visual alerts, and comes in handy when backing out of tight places, like a parking space.
