See clearly with Around View Monitor

Car parks can be awfully busy places with pedestrians and vehicles seemingly approaching from all angles. And let’s not forget those difficult-to-spot obstacles such as small bollards and low-set barriers. Some Kia models such as the all-new Sportage, EV6 and Sorento depending on the grade are equipped with an Around-View Monitor. This gives you a 360º view around your car on the infotainment screen. So, at the touch of a button, you can choose whether to look from the front, rear or either side of the vehicle, and even see all of your surroundings at once from the top-down view. Some models even have a 3D view that allows you to look around your vehicle in 3D.

Park your car while you stand and watch with Remote Smart Park Assist

On the subject of parking, car parks with tiny spaces seem to be increasingly common. And the last thing you need before that big meeting is to get covered in dirt while trying to squeeze your way out between cars. Helpfully, certain Kia models are equipped with Remote Smart Parking Assist. This lets you park the car – and drive it out of a space – using the key fob, so you don’t even need to be in the car when you park it. Simply find a space. Let the car know you want to park with a button press. Then you can hop out where there’s plenty of space. Hold a button on the key fob, and the car will guide itself into the bay, and will even stop if there are obstacles in the way. Effortless.

Highway Driving Assist makes long journeys simple

Highway Driving Assist helps make driving more relaxing when you’re on longer trips. Simply set your desired speed, and your Kia will brake or accelerate to maintain a safe gap to the car in front. Its cameras and sensors can also detect road markings, so it’ll help to gently steer your vehicle to keep it centred in its lane. Most Kia models can even help you in stop-start traffic by coming to a full stop and creeping along with the flow of traffic. It helps make driving a little less tiring, so you can focus your energy on your next big project.

Finish your journey safely with Safe Exit Assist

Once you arrive at your destination, Safe Exit Assist will be watching over you as you leave your vehicle. It’s not always easy – especially for rear passengers – to see if there is traffic approaching when you’re trying to open your door. Safe Exist Assist will give you an audible warning if a vehicle is approaching. And, it will even prevent the rear door from opening if the system detects a risk of a collision.

Stay connected with Kia Connect

At Kia, we appreciate the importance of being connected on the move. That’s why every Kia is available with Android Auto^TM and Apple CarPlay^TM . So you have access to everything you need when on the road, whether that’s your contact list, calendar, favourite map app or even a Spotify playlist. The Kia Connect app offers you more innovative ways to connect your vehicle to the world around you. You can send a planned route from your smartphone to your car, or even use your phone to access recent trip information – useful for tracking mileage and travel expenses.

Innovative displays that deliver key information

With all that information at your fingertips, it’s important that it can be delivered clearly. Most Kia models are available with a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen – some models even have two. Certain Kia vehicles – including the Niro, Sportage, EV6 and Sorento – are available with a head-up display or augmented reality head-up display. These project useful information, such as speed or navigation instructions, onto the windscreen. So you don’t even need to take your eyes off the road.
