PBV WARRANTY TERMS AND EXCLUSIONS

KIA PBV 7 YEAR WARRANTY

Terms and Exclusions

At Kia, we don’t just sell vehicles that look nice in the showroom. We want you to enjoy yours for years to come.

We’ve used the latest engineering and technical know-how to design and build your Kia and we think you’ll appreciate this every time you get behind the wheel. In fact, we’re so proud of how we put our vehicles together that we offer one of the most comprehensive warranties around.

You have statutory rights in relation to the goods against other parties and those rights are not affected by the guarantee. In this manual you’ll find everything you need to know about our warranties, as well as when to have your

Kia serviced to keep it performing as its best. We think your Kia PBV centre is the place to go for this. That’s because no-one else knows our vehicles like they do, and they will only use genuine Kia parts. However, provided servicing and non-warranty repairs are carried out properly using genuine Kia parts or parts of equivalent quality you can use an independent repairer without affecting your vehicle warranty.

What this warranty applies to:

This warranty applies to your Kia, with a GB or EU type approval, if it was originally bought from an authorised Kia PBV centre, and operated in accordance with the owner’s manual provided by Kia.

The manufacturer’s warranty may not be valid if your Kia wasn’t originally bought through the official Kia distribution network in the UK and/or EEA. We may need to see proof of purchase through this network before we can honour the warranty. Vehicles made for non-UK and/or non-EEA markets aren’t covered in the UK and or EEA by the manufacturer’s warranty.

It’s up to you to use and maintain your Kia properly. If you use your Kia in severe driving conditions, you should follow the extra maintenance steps set out in your owner’s manual.

Maintenance records

You may need to show that you’ve maintained your Kia properly. So you should keep your maintenance records handy, together with all your receipts. Your scheduled maintenance records should be filled in whenever your Kia goes in for scheduled maintenance.

Warranty repairs

You should take your Kia, along with this manual, to an authorised Kia PBV centre during its normal opening hours and ask them to repair it for you. Whilst the contract to carry out the repairs will be with the PBV centre, we will pay the costs of the repairs.

Any perforation due to corrosion caused by misuse, abuse or improper maintenance such as a missed annual anti-perforation inspection Any corrosion of the Kia that doesn’t result in perforation.

Your responsibilities

You should look closely at the sheet metal panels on the exterior body of your Kia regularly. If you find any stone chips or scratches in the paint or protective coating, you should touch them up straight away.
