The New Niro Hybrid Range
Electrified Enhanced Crossover
Combining unique crossover style and practicality with low hybrid emissions, the New Niro Self-Charging Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid both excel in one thing above all: making driving more energy-efficient and exciting.
Owing much of their inspiration to the original Niro Self-Charging Hybrid and with the same foundation of crossover style and practicality, these latest additions to the Kia Niro family deliver a perfect fusion of optimised efficiency and enjoyable performance. Powered by an efficient 1.6-litre GDi engine, twinned with either a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack (Niro Self-Charging Hybrid) or 8.9 kWh (for the Niro Plug-In Hybrid), both the Kia Niro Self-Charging Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid employ a sophisticated parallel hybrid system that delivers 139 bhp. This innovative hybrid system improves Kia Niro’s efficiency and effectively decreases emissions on everyday journeys.
Refreshed with a new crossover design, the New Niro Self-Charging Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid feature brand new enhancements and upscale finishes, plus even more innovative tech features packed into the cabin.
While the distinctive design and iconic ‘tiger-nose’ grille remain on the front, there is a new grille diamond-look pattern and new bumpers at the front and the rear, which deliver an even more purposeful appearance and confident stance on the road.
The standard projection headlights have been redesigned, as well as there being new full LED headlights incorporated with Kia’s unique ‘ice cube’ design available for selected grades. The bumper also features new standard LED daytime running lights below the headlights with a unique double arrow-layout.
Fully revamped, the Kia Niro Self-Charging Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid are both fitted with a host of visual and material finishes that together create an unmistakeably upscale ambience throughout the cabin. There are impressive new tech features such as the optional new high definition 10.25-inch Touchscreen Multimedia System with Navigation and Telematics, and the optional 7.0-inch supervision full digital instrument cluster for the driver.
