Kia Returns to CV Show 2026 with PV5 Electric Vans
Kia returns to CV Show 2026 with versatile PV5 electric van line-up
Kia will return to the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show in 2026 with a display focused on the flexibility and real-world applications of the Kia PV5.
The event will give visitors the opportunity to explore several PV5 Cargo
variants and specialist conversions designed for commercial use.
Taking place from 21st-23rd April at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, our display will include the European debut of two new PV5 body styles. We’ll demonstrate how the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV)
strategy enables adaptable electric mobility solutions for businesses.
Building on Kia’s entry into the UK commercial vehicle market
Kia entered the UK commercial vehicle sector in 2025 with the launch of our PBV strategy and the introduction of our first fully electric van,
the PV5 Cargo.
The model was initially revealed to UK audiences at the CV Show, marking Kia’s expansion beyond passenger cars into purpose-built mobility solutions.
Alongside the launch, we introduced a nationwide network of 63 dedicated PBV centres, which opened in November 2025. These locations provide specialist support for businesses, including vehicle sales, servicing,
and guidance on adopting commercial EVs.
Multiple PV5 configurations for commercial applications
At the 2026 CV show, Kia will present a selection of PV5
configurations designed to support different industries and operational requirements.
PV5 models and conversions on display include:
· PV5 Cargo
L1/H1
· PV5 Cargo L2/H1
· PV5 Cargo L2/H2
· PV5 Chassis
converted to a tipper
· PV5 Cargo converted to a refrigerated van
Developed with Kia’s PBV Approved Converter network, these configurations demonstrate how the PV5 platform can be adapted for a wide range of business
uses. This enables our vans to support across logistics and delivery services to specialist trades and temperature-controlled transport.
A purpose-built electric platform for commercial vehicles
The Kia PV5
and entire PBV electric van range has been developed on our E-GMP.S platform,
an architecture created specifically for electric vehicles.
Unlike traditional commercial vehicles
adapted from internal combustion platforms, our dedicated electric vehicle allows greater flexibility in vehicle design while supporting improved efficiency.
Key advantages include:
· Faster charging
capability
· Improved energy efficiency
· Increased driving range
· A flat-floor layout that maximises interior space
· Modular body configurations suitable for specialist conversions
This approach enables businesses
to configure vehicles around their operational needs while benefitting from the advantages of a purpose-built electric platform.
Supporting fleets and local businesses
The CV Show attracts visitors from across the commercial vehicle sector, including large fleet
operators and smaller local businesses.
For fleet and corporate organisations, long-term considerations such as total cost of ownership,
sustainability
targets, and operational efficiency often guide vehicle purchasing decisions. The PV5
platform offers a flexible solution that can support fleet electrification strategies.
At the same time, many businesses rely on a van as an essential tool for day-to-day operations. Trades such as florists, plumbers, and local retailers require practical vehicles capable of supporting deliveries, service visits, and customer appointments.
The modular capabilities of the PV5 allows it to adapt to both large-scale fleet requirements and the everyday needs of smaller businesses.
