The Kia EV3 Named World Car of The Year
Kia EV3 all-electric family SUV has been awarded World Car of the Year at the New York Auto Show. This marks the fourth consecutive victory for a Korean vehicle in the World Car Awards, following the Kia EV9’s win in 2024.

The Kia EV3 Named UK Car of The Year
The Kia EV3 has been awarded the UK Car of the Year 2025, marking the second year in a row an electric Kia vehicle has won the accolade. The EV3 was lauded for its practicality, safety, and value for money. John Challen, co-chairman of the UK Car of the Year Awards, praised the EV3’s specification, driving range, and distinctive styling.

Kia EV3 named ‘Small SUV/Crossover of the Year’
The Kia EV3 has collected its first UK award, being named ‘Small SUV/Crossover of the Year’ at the annual News UK Motor Awards.

Kia EV3 Named Car Of The Year 2024 At Electrifying.com Awards
Motor Trader reports that the Kia EV3 has been awarded the Car of the Year 2024 by Electrifying.com. Judges praised its design, range of up to 375 miles, and starting price of £32,995. Ginny Buckley, Electrifying.com’s CEO, described Kia as “innovative and exciting,” calling the EV3 a “game-changer.” The EV3, available in three UK grades, has a seven-year warranty.

* The range was determined according to the standardised EU measurement procedure (WLTP) on EV3 Air Grade. The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.
(1) Maximum charging speed
EV9 must use an 800 volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 210kW of electricity. The additionally added real-life range within 15 minutes is depending on different factors including the current state of charge of the battery, battery temperature, exterior weather conditions and the charger used. It is also defined by the individual driving style and energy consumption.
(2) Driving Range
The range was determined according to the standardised EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.
7 Year Warranty
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. To minimize possible capacity reduction, consult the owner's manual. Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
