Designed around a simple character line with bold CUV styling, the side profile of the Kia Niro features unique body cladding that conveys a distinctive impression. This is combined with a high-tech two-tone colour body with High Glossy or Steel Gray cladding and a stylish Aero C-Pillar at the rear to enhance airflow and aerodynamics.
Bold and stylish: At the back, a simple and beautiful design concept incorporates Boomerang-style taillights, a Heartbeat reflector, rugged skid plate, and strong but simple lower bumper. Created exclusively for the Niro EV, the custom alloy 17-inch wheels have a 5-petal design and feature a two-colour finish with black accents. Meanwhile, the Niro Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid feature specially designed 16-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim level you choose.

The Kia Niro electrified family also offers a suite of DriveWise Advanced Driver Assistance Systems that makes passenger and pedestrian safety paramount. How? By helping the driver to stay focused and informed at the wheel, watching out for potential hazards, alerting the driver and intervening when necessary. Making way for the real joys of driving.

Designed for effortless driving on motorways, HDA automatically maintains the Niro’s distance to another vehicle in front as well as keeping it centred in its current lane on the highway. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration whilst you are in-lane. If equipped with HDA2, Niro EV will also help you changing the lane.
Evaluating both camera and radar data from your Niro, the system analyses information about other cars, pedestrians or cyclists crossing the road to avoid a potential collision with them. FCA 1.5 also functions to prevent collisions with vehicles when turning at a junction or making a left turn at an intersection. If it detects a potential collision, a warning signal appears on your instrument cluster and maximum braking power is applied. For the Niro EV the FCA 2.0 would also engage when you are crossing the intersection.7
This system provides audible and visual warning of any vehicles in your blind spot area, and actively controls the vehicle to help avoid a collision. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) provides the same assistance while in reverse, if vehicles are approaching from the left or right.
NSCC maintains your specified set speed and ensures a safe distance to the vehicle ahead by controlling acceleration and deceleration. It also auto-decelerates your speed on any curvature based on road information provided by the navigation system.
You'll have no nasty surprises when backing out of a parking space or driveway. This system warns you if a collision risk with pedestrians or objects is detected while reversing. If the risk increases even after the warning, it helps to automatically stop the vehicle.
With this system you can park or unpark your Kia Niro even if you aren’t inside - perfect for tight parking spaces. Using your key, you can safely move the vehicle in a straight line, into or out of a space. Braking is automatic if the vehicle detects an obstacle.

These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty.
