Smart Cruise Control 2.0 (SCC 2.0) with Emergency Stop Function
With SCC 2.0 technology, the EV5 adjusts speed to traffic and road conditions, including reducing speed on curves to keep everyone secure. It smoothly returns to your preset speed once conditions allow. If it detects that you’re unresponsive in the driver seat, it safely stops the vehicle in its lane, alerting others and unlocking all the doors automatically.
Highway Driving Assist 2.0 (HDA 2.0) with Hands-on Detection
HDA 2.0 with HoD automatically adapts your target speed to meet the limit, while keeping you at a safe distance from the vehicles ahead. The upgraded hands-on detection sensors on the steering wheel detect whether you are touching it, even without movement. HDA 2.0 is even capable of changing lane automatically when you use the side indicator.
Lane Following Assist 2.0 (LFA 2.0) with Hands-On Detection
LFA 2.0 helps keep your EV5 centred in its lane by monitoring lane markings and surrounding vehicles, providing steering assistance when needed. The upgraded Hands-on Detection sensors on the steering wheel detect whether you are touching it, even without movement.
Anti-Collision Assistants
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
BCA warns you if there is a risk of collision with a rear side vehicle in the blind-spot while changing lanes. When forward exiting a parallel-parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind, it automatically assists with emergency braking.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0 (FCA 2.0)
FCA 2.0 gives you extra peace of mind by helping to prevent potential collisions with pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles. If you don’t brake hard enough in time, your EV5 can apply the brakes automatically. It also supports you in avoiding accidents when turning at or crossing intersections, among other driving scenarios.
Parking Assistants
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward/Side/Reverse (PCA)
Parking is stress-free in the EV5 thanks to optional Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist in all directions. It alerts you to potential hazards around the vehicle, and if necessary, automatically applies the brakes to help prevent a collision. (Available on GT-Line S models only)
Remote Smart Parking Assist 2.0 (RSPA 2.0)
You’ll never need to worry about navigating your vehicle in and out of tight spots again. The remote parking function does the hard work for you – automatically steering you into place and even performing diagonal parking – even remotely at the tap of your smart key. (1) Premium Relaxation Seats
Please note Premium Relaxation Seats and Heated Rear Seats are available exclusively on the EV5 GT-Line S variant.
(2) Electric range
The stated all-electric range of up to 329 miles applies to the Front Wheel Drive variant of the EV5 equipped with the 81.4 kWh battery only. Figures are based on latest available data.
Please note that the maximum AER figure is determined by the specific trim and wheel type of each EV5 variant, among other factors, and that the following figures apply: an all-electric range of up to 329 miles (18” wheels); up to 313 miles (FWD GT-Line with 19” wheels).
The range was determined according to the standardized EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.
(3) Kia battery units
Kia high voltage lithium-ion battery units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery.
Capacity reduction of the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. To minimize possible capacity reduction, consult the Owner's Manual. Find more information about Kia warranty here.
(4) Battery charging time
In order to achieve the maximum charging speed, the EV5 must be charged at a 400-volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 150kW of electricity. The additionally added real-life range within 15 minutes is depending on different factors including the current state of charge of the battery, battery temperature and the charger used. It is also defined by the individual driving style and energy consumption.
(5) V2G and V2H capabilities
Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capabilities are subject to availability depending on market, local regulations, and compatible infrastructure. Additional equipment and services may be required. Kia makes no guarantee regarding the availability, functionality or performance of these features in all regions.
(6) Home charging
The purchase and installation of any wall box charging equipment are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. Installation must be performed by a qualified professional and in full compliance with all applicable local laws, regulations, and safety standards. Kia assumes no liability for the installation, operation, or maintenance of wall box equipment.
(7) Kia AI Assistant
The Kia AI Assistant is available as part of specific subscription packages and typically includes a one-year free trial period. Subscription fees apply thereafter. Feature availability may vary by model, specification or region. The Kia AI Assistant is currently only available in a limited number of languages (including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch). Please check with your local Kia retailer for full details.

Kia's Fingerprint Recognition technology is available exclusively on the EV5 GT-Line S
(9) Over-the-Air (OTA) updates & Kia Upgrades
New vehicles equipped with OTA-enabled navigation software benefit from a free trial period during which Over-the-Air updates for maps and infotainment software are provided at no additional cost. After the trial ends, further OTA updates can be accessed either via https://www.kia.com/uk/owners/ota-controller-updates/ or through a Kia dealership. Availability of OTA updates may vary by model and region.
Additional features, services and content described as “Kia Upgrades” may be available for purchase separately via the Kia Connect Store, accessible through the Kia App.
(10) Kia Digital Key 2.0
For the Digital Key 2.0 to work properly, you need a compatible phone that supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Near-Field Communication (NFC) and Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) technology. While we are committed to designing and developing secure and safe systems, we cannot guarantee that they will be entirely free from technical issues or unexpected errors. Such issues could, in rare cases, lead to unintended outcomes, such as unlocked doors or unauthorized access to the vehicle.
(11) Kia App
The actual screen displays shown are for visualisation purposes only and may vary depending on the software version, country availability and vehicle specification. The technical requirements for using the Kia App can be found in the respective app store and require a valid Kia account. Separate terms and conditions apply.

Free 7-year Kia Connect services
The Services are provided free of charge for a period of 7 years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective. (12) Premium streaming services

The use of assistance and safety systems does not release the driver from the obligation to constantly monitor traffic and control the vehicle. Drivers must still adapt their driving behaviour to their personal driving skills, the legal regulations and the general road and traffic conditions.
(15) Kia 7-year Warranty
