(1) WLTP testing

Up to 65 km in city driving conditions and 49 km as combined. The Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid's values have been tested in the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light vehicle Test Procedure) test cycle.

(2) Kia 7-year/150,000 km new car warranty

Kia battery units are built to have a long life. Kia warranty covers the battery at the time of delivery for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. The capacity reduction of the lithium-ion battery is NOT covered by the warranty. To minimize possible capacity reduction, please consult the Owner's Manual.

(3) 7-year warranty

Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. Find more information about Kia warranty at [www.Kia.com ]

(4) 7-year battery warranty

Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs only, Kia guarantees a 65% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in PHEV, HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (5) 7-year map update

As part of our extensive quality promise, each new Kia vehicle that is factory-fitted with a navigation device is entitled to six free annual map updates. A unique offer that ensures your navigation system is always up-to-date. The program applies only to new Kia vehicles purchased after February 28, 2013 with factory-fitted Navigation devices. Labor fees may occur at the service point for the time allocated to perform the update. The 7 Year Map Update program provides six map updates as Kia vehicles already come with the latest available map from the factory. The warranty of the navigation system is not affected by this program. Kia does not bear the responsibility for the quality of the map data supplied by the map data supplier, HERE.

(6) Battery and engine

There are certain situations in which the petrol engine will automatically activate even when the vehicle is in EV mode. Examples could include: when the hybrid battery state of charge is reduced to a certain level, when acceleration demand is high and/or when it is required to heat up the cabin.

(7)  Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™

The new Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(8) Kia Connect On-Board Services

The services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your vehicle’s head unit. Available On-Board Services might differ depending on your country.

(9) Kia Connect Live Services through Smartphone Tethering

Smartphone with data plan required to activate Kia Live Services in countries and models without embedded telematics.

(10) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions. FCA is not designed to drive the vehicle autonomously. For further information, please refer to the owner’s manual.
