Stand-out exterior lighting system.

 

 

 

The EV9 GT’s lighting concept delivers in both style and substance. The small cube projection headlamps are underlined by the new digital lighting grille featuring an animated light signature for guaranteed impact on first sight. Five additional patterns for the digital lighting grille are available via Kia Upgrades and an Intelligent Front Lighting System for greater control driving at night.

Enhanced ride comfort.

 

 

The EV9 GT is the first Kia model to feature an Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview. This advanced technology uses data from the front camera and navigation system to anticipate upcoming road conditions and automatically adjusts the suspension settings in real time. It ensures a smoother, more stable drive by minimising jolts and maintaining optimum control, especially on uneven or unpredictable road surfaces. 

Regenerative braking with the i-Pedal 3.0

 

 

This advanced technology lets you adjust the level of regenerative braking according to your preference by using the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, even enabling one-pedal driving. Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist

Take the worry out of your blind spots. With BCA, you will receive alerts whenever there are vehicles approaching to overtake you, or in your blind spot. If the system detects that there is any risk of collision, it will smartly assist with braking your car to avoid it and leading you back into your lane

Forward Collision-avoidance Assist 2.0

Forward Collision-avoidance Assist 2.0 gives you added peace of mind and helps you to avoid any potential collisions with pedestrians, cyclists and other cars on the road. If you are not applying the brakes hard enough to avoid a collision, your EV9 will do it automatically.

Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist

Back out of a parking space or driveway simply and easily. With the Rear Cross-traffic Avoidance system, you’ll get an alert that warns if cars or pedestrians are passing behind your vehicle. If there's any risk of a collision, the system will automatically brake.

Multi Collision Brake

The Multi Collision brake offers you and your passengers added protection and reassurance in the event of a crash. After the initial crash, it helps to prevent any unpredictable movements of your vehicle, thereby helping to mitigate the danger of any secondary crashes.

Parking Collision-avoidance Assist, Forward/Side/Reverse

Parking or exiting a space will be no hassle at all, with the Parking Assist Side Forward Reverse function which warns you of pedestrians or objects close to the vehicle.

(1)  Maximum charging speed

In order to achieve the maximum charging speed, EV9 must be charged at an 800-volt electric vehicle charger that delivers at least 210kW of electricity. The actual charging speed and charging time may be influenced by the battery temperature, status of the car, the used charging infrastructure and exterior weather conditions.

(2)  Driving Range

The range was determined according to the standardized EU measurement procedure (WLTP). The individual driving style and other factors, such as speed, outside temperature, topography and the use of electricity-consuming devices/units, have an influence on the real-life range and can possibly reduce it.

(3)  Kia battery warranty

Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first (8 years/100,000 miles for EV models registered from 01/01/2024). For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery.  Capacity reduction for the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty.  To minimise possible capacity reduction, consult the Owner’s Manual.  For full Kia warranty terms and exclusions click here.

(4)  7-year warranty

Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.  Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. For full Kia warranty terms and exclusions click here.

(5)  Kia Connect Services

Kia Connect Services are provided by Kia Connect GmbH, registered under the registration number HRB 112541, Theodor-Heuss-Allee 11, 60486 Frankfurt am Main.

 

Free 7-year Kia Connect services The Services are provided free of charge for a period of 7 years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective. We reserve the right to propose additional services in the future subject to separate terms of use. Over-the-Air updates: For new vehicles sold from May 2021 and that have OTA-enabled navigation software, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
