A Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is an official document issued for vehicles built to be sold and registered within the European Union.
It confirms the vehicle has been tested and meets EU Type Approval Standards. The Certificate of Conformity is unique to each vehicle and contains various technical specifications of the vehicle at the time of manufacture. All certificates are supplied in English and are recognised by all European countries for vehicle registration purposes.

Why do I need a Certificate of Conformity?

I want to import/export a vehicle. What do I need to do?
If you are exporting or importing a vehicle produced since 1997 from another EU country, you’ll need a European Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for the DVLA.

How do I obtain a Certificate of Conformity?
