A standard installation under the Charge Happy offer includes:

> An agreed cable route, with up to 5 metres of cable installed from your fuse board or meter position to your charger.

> Installation of the charger and its accompanying CT clamp, along with the required circuit protection, a Type 2 surge protection device and an isolation switch where required.

> Registration of the charger on your app.

> Electrical testing and certification, with the installation certificate provided to support your SEAI grant claim, where applicable.

What falls outside a standard installation?

Additional work may be required depending on your property and existing electrical installation. This can include:

> Cable runs longer than 5 metres.

> Replacement of an existing Neozed main switch-fuse.

> Earth rod installation, pipework bonding or meter tail upgrades.

> Fuse board upgrades needed to accommodate the charger.

> Pedestal installation, groundworks or civil works.

> A customer-requested installation method outside the normal retrofit method.

Non-standard works will be quoted separately and charged to the customer. Any PEN fault protection device required is also excluded from the standard installation price and charged separately.

Customers must meet the applicable SEAI eligibility requirements to claim a grant.

Charge Happy guarantees that your install will take place within 4 weeks of the webform being submitted.

There is no need for a pre-installation survey by an electrician, Charge Happy will complete remedial works and upgrades as required.

Yes, you can arrange your own electrician once they are both RECI and Safe Electric certified. Charge Happy's installation team will be happy to provide a checklist of the points the electrician needs to note on their survey and what needs to be completed during the additional works. Only the Charge Happy installation team can install the charger unit itself.

The SEAI is a separate entity to Charge Happy and are responsible for the eligibility of grants and the grant payment process. You will need to have applied for your SEAI grant and received your letter of grant offer before any installation works. Please do not proceed with any charger installation works before the start date on your SEAI Letter of Offer as you may not receive the full grant support available. Once your charger has been installed, our installer will provide you with documents that you will need to provide to the SEAI so that they can release your grant payment. All queries about the SEAI Grant should be directed to the SEAI.
