SPRING NIGHT SPOTS: THE BEST DRIVE-INS IN AUSTRALIA

28 / 02 / 2020

With the cooler weather upon us, heading out to a drive-in cinema is the perfect way to enjoy a spring night out.

Watching a flick under the stars dates decades back, with drive-in cinemas being a go-to spot for Aussies for more than 60 years. At its peak, it’s believed that there were a whopping 330 drive-in cinemas across the country. Roaring in the 1950s and 1960s, drive-ins brought people together for all occasions – whether it be for the perfect date night destination or an inexpensive family night out, the allure of watching movies from your car was an affair for all ages.

Today, drive-in cinemas aren’t as easy to come by, but definitely worth the search if you’re looking for the perfect night spot. Here are our top 4 Australian drive-ins that will bring back the nostalgia!
