Kia has teamed up with Wallbox to offer eligible EV9 owners and lessees a vehicle-to-home charger with the capability to power areas of your home, right from your EV. Compatible with all EV9 trims, the vehicle-to-home charger is designed to deliver power from the EV9’s battery pack to areas of your home, including during a power outage, when properly installed and connected along with additional equipment. You can also take control of your energy costs by using your EV9 to power the operation of various appliances during peak-rate hours.

HOW TO ORDER
Take charge of your power
Step 1. Visit Wallbox
Visit the Kia page on the Wallbox website to order a Wallbox Quasar 2 (plus any additional equipment required for V2H that is available for sale) for your EV9. Be sure to read the Wallbox Product Order Terms and Conditions to confirm that you are eligible to order the Quasar 2. You will be required to agree to the Wallbox Product Order Terms and Conditions before submitting your order.
Step 2. Order
Submit your information through Wallbox to order the Wallbox Quasar 2 for your EV9. (Requires $100 refundable deposit.)
Step 3. Receive Order Confirmation
If your Quasar 2 order is accepted, Wallbox will send you an email to confirm your order, along with an invoice for the total price of the Quasar 2 (minus the $100 deposit). The price of Quasar 2 does not include installation fees, which must be paid to COIL separately. Once you pay the total price of Quasar 2, Wallbox will ship the charger to the address you included in your order.
If your Quasar 2 order is not accepted for any reason, Wallbox will send you an email stating that your order has been rejected and will refund your $100 deposit.

Bi-directional charging refers to not only charging a vehicle, but being able to export power from the vehicle.
To enable this capability for the EV9, purchase and installation of Quasar 2 and additional equipment is required.
Quasar 2 can be used to charge your EV9, but it can do more. Quasar 2 operates as an advanced energy management system for the home which can provide vehicle-to-home capabilities, even in the event of power outages.
To enable this capability for the EV9, purchase and installation of separately sold additional equipment is required, including a Wallbox Power Recovery Unit. Quasar 2 alone cannot power home in the event of electrical grid blackout.
