Anti-Collision Assistants
Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
SEW senses any vehicles approaching from the rear while parked, sends you a warning alert, and keeps the child lock engaged – preventing rear passengers from getting out. When the vehicles have passed, the passengers will be free to exit safely.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) ⁵
FCA 1.5 gives you added reassurance and helps you to avoid any potential collisions with pedestrians, cyclists and other cars on the road – including when turning at a junction. If you are not applying the brakes hard enough to avoid a collision, your Picanto will do it automatically. The Picanto is fitted with FCA 1.0 or 1.5, depending on the trimline. ⁵
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
Reverse out of a parking space or driveway simply and easily. With the RCCA system, you will get an alert that warns if cars or pedestrians are passing behind your vehicle. If there’s any risk of a collision, the system will automatically brake.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)
BCA warns you if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle in your blind-spot while changing lanes. When pulling out of a parallel-parking spot, if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle approaching from behind, it automatically assists with emergency braking.
Driving Assistants
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA)
ISLA gives you all the necessary information to help you stay within the speed limits. Using the camera on the windscreen, it reads speed limits and overtaking restrictions, and displays the information clearly on the navigation screen and cluster.
Driver Attention Warning Plus
DAW+ monitors the driver steering and acceleration pattern to detect if you’re losing concentration and alerts you with a warning sound and a coffee cup symbol in the cluster. A leading vehicle departure warning also notifies you when the vehicle ahead is driving away in traffic.
Lane Following Assist
LFA is designed to help detect lane markings and/or vehicles on the road, and assists the steering to help keep your Picanto between lanes.

Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. Details of operation and terms of use can be obtained on your Kia App. Smartphone with iOS or Android operating system and mobile phone contract with data option necessary incurring additional cost.
(2) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Sorento is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(4) Kia Connect On-Board Services

(8) 7-year warranty

(9) OTA Updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
(10) Music Stream
The Music Streaming service is part of the regular Kia Connect Live Services but has a limited free period for one (1) month starting from the activation date in the Kia Connect Store.
