AC charging is a popular and common charging method for electric vehicles. It is most ideal to charge at home or at work, as it typically takes longer than DC charging.
AC charging stations are also available in public areas such as workplaces, roadside, and convenience stores.
For the current Kia EV models available in Thailand, both The Kia EV5 and The Kia EV9 support AC charging at a maximum of 7 kW (Single-phase) and 11 kW (Three-phase).
Currently, a wide network of DC Fast Charging stations is available, allowing you to save time and plan your journeys with greater precision.
For Kia EV models sold in Thailand, DC charging specifications are as follows:
- The Kia EV5: Supports DC charging up to 141 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% via a DC Fast Charge EVSE takes around 38 minutes.*
- The Kia EV9: Supports DC charging up to 350 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% via a DC Fast Charge EVSE takes around 24 minutes.*
