The Sportage offers a suite of available Kia Drive Wise technologies designed not only to help alert you of potential accidents, but also to help avoid some altogether. Every move can be made with greater awareness so you can just enjoy the feeling of being behind the wheel.
The Sportage knows when you need a brake. The standard Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped) helps to monitor vehicles and pedestrians ahead of you, and may intervene to help prevent an imminent collision or, if unavoidable, help reduce the impact.
The available Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system helps make you more aware of blind spots on the side of your Sportage. And the available Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) system scans for passing cars, motorcycles, and/or other vehicles as you back up. The advanced radar-based detection system issues visual and/or auditory signals to help warn you of objects not in your field of view.
Drive confidently with added eyes on the road. The standard Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) system intelligently monitors the position of your Sportage using a windshield-mounted camera. If the system detects you veering from your lane, without the turn signal on, it can help provide gentle steering corrections to keep you on the right track.
Conveniently maneuver in and out of tight spaces. In addition to the available Front and Rear Parking Assist System, every Sportage comes equipped with a Rear View Monitor (RVM) so you can reverse with confidence.
The standard High Beam Assist (HBA) helps to keep you and other drivers safe by automatically dimming the high beams when oncoming vehicles are detected.
