Ready for the unexpected.

The Optima Plug-In Hybrid offers a suite of Kia Drive Wise technologies designed to help keep you informed and alert you of potential accidents. So that you can drive with peace of mind.

Designed to help mitigate certain accidents, the available Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) will automatically apply the brakes if it detects a collision risk.

Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) uses radar to maintain a predetermined distance from the vehicle ahead, helping to automatically slow or accelerate your Optima Plug-In Hybrid when appropriate.

The available Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) activates and alerts you when your Optima Plug-In Hybrid detects a potential impact, encouraging you to decelerate.

If you veer from your lane, the available Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) will warn you with a visual alert and chime.

As smart as it looks.

Meet the available and advanced drive-assistive technologies that have your back. Each designed to help keep you informed, like the available Blind Spot Detection (BSD) with Lane Change Assist (LCA), which can warn you when it senses a vehicle approaching from behind. Find out more below.

Blind Spot Detection (BSD) System offers convenient visual and audible signals to help warn you of objects not in your field of view. Lane Change Assist (LCA) warns you when it detects a vehicle that's quickly approaching.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) scans for objects moving into your intended path. If the system senses a potential hazard, it will give you audio and visual warnings.

If the Rear Parking Assist System (RPAS) detects any stationary objects behind your Optima Plug-In Hybrid, it will alert you with an audio warning.
