Kia Summer Smash

Kia and Women's Sport

Since 2018, Kia has been a proud sponsor of Women’s Sport, by agreeing the first major standalone commercial deal in Women’s sport in the UK.

Together with the ECB, in 2016 the Kia Super League was created, allowing top level Women Cricketers the chance to play top level cricket on a more regular basis to keep up fitness and skills.

Now, in 2018, Kia has gone that one step further by setting up the Kia Summer Smash, open to Grass root Women’s cricketers to take part in a festival of cricket, hoping to support the Women Cricket stars of the future

The Kia Summer Smash is a unique grassroots competition that is open to all women's clubs in the UK. It will take place over four weekends during the height of summer at regional festivals, with the winner of each regional festival competing at the Kia Oval on Friday September 20 to become the Kia Summer Smash champions.

Played in an exciting T10 format, each regional festival will be contested by 12 teams, with the sides split into groups to ensure they enjoy a number of competitive games, before a final to determine the winner.

As well as a competitive cricket, each regional festival will be a celebration of this great game, with fun family activities for spectators including coaching masterclasses run by the likes of former Ashes winner Lydia Greenway, face painting and the chance to meet Kia Super League stars.

Entries are now closed. Please check below when and where Regional Festivals will take place.
