Bringing Global Innovation to Thailand

The introduction of the Kia PV5 in Thailand marks a new milestone in Kia’s journey to deliver global innovation to local customers. Kia Sales (Thailand) introduced the PV5 to Thai media as a next-generation electric mobility solution designed specifically for fleet and commercial applications.

The PV5 Cargo is positioned as a practical and scalable solution for logistics operators and business customers seeking efficient, sustainable, and future-ready mobility. Its arrival underscores Kia Thailand’s commitment to supporting the evolving needs of businesses while contributing to Thailand’s broader sustainability and electric mobility ambitions.

With the PV5, Kia Thailand is introducing a new approach to electric commercial mobility—combining global PBV innovation with practical value for businesses operating in Thailand.

Built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, the PV5 Cargo maximizes cargo carrying capability within its compact footprint. Measuring 4,695 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,995 mm, the vehicle offers a generous cargo area with a loading length of 2,255 mm, width of 1,565 mm, and height of 1,520 mm. This results in a cargo volume of up to 4,420 liters, providing businesses with exceptional flexibility for delivery, logistics, service operations, and urban transportation needs. The low rear cargo loading height of 419 mm further improves accessibility and loading efficiency.

Powering the PV5 Cargo is an electric drivetrain delivering up to 122 PS and 250 Nm torque, providing smooth and efficient performance for daily business operations. Paired with a 51.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, the vehicle offers a driving range of up to 384 km (NEDC). The battery supports both AC and DC charging, with ultra-fast DC charging enabling a 10-80% recharge in as little as 30 minutes1.

Inside, the Kia PV5 Cargo delivers a driver-focused cabin that combines comfort, practicality, and advanced technology. The spacious cabin provides a comfortable workspace for long hours on the road, while the 12.9-inch display keeps essential vehicle information. Wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ enable seamless smartphone integration for navigation and communication, while multiple USB Type-C charging ports and Bluetooth® connectivity help drivers and fleet operators stay connected and efficient throughout every delivery route.

Further enhancing its versatility, the Kia PV5 Cargo offers Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)2 functionality, enabling external devices and equipment to be powered directly from the vehicle. This feature can support a wide range of business applications, from mobile service operations to on-site equipment usage.

For businesses, every delivery matters. That's why the Kia PV5 Cargo combines comprehensive safety technologies with advanced driver assistance systems to help protect drivers, cargo, and operational uptime. Equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Trailer Stability Assist (TSA), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and Multi-Collision Brake (MCB), the PV5 Cargo helps drivers operate more confidently and safely in a wide range of conditions.

Meanwhile, Kia's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) with vehicle, pedestrian and cyclist detection and Junction Assist, Lane Following Assist (LFA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Manual Speed Limit Assist (MSLA), help reduce driver fatigue and support safer, more efficient deliveries throughout the working day. By helping drivers avoid potential hazards, maintain lane position, and operate more consistently in traffic, these technologies can contribute to fewer incidents, reduced vehicle downtime, and greater operational efficiency for fleet owners and logistics operators. Despite its spacious cargo capacity, the PV5 Cargo offers excellent urban maneuverability thanks to its 5.5-metre turning radius, enabling drivers to navigate Bangkok's narrow streets and confined loading areas with greater ease and efficiency.

As Kia's first dedicated PBV model in Thailand, the PV5 Cargo marks an important step forward in sustainable commercial transportation, delivering a smarter, safer, and more efficient solution for businesses of all sizes. The Kia PV5 Cargo is now available at a price of THB 1,199,000 backed by Kia's comprehensive 7-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty3, 7- year roadside assistance4 and 8-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty5.
