Efficient EV Charging in Winter: Using Winter Mode

Winter mode is a feature designed to minimise battery performance deterioration during cold winter weather. By activating the winter mode, the vehicle's charging and driving performance can be improved by preheating the battery.

How to set up the winter mode

  1. 01Access the infotainment display in the vehicle and go to [EV] > [EV settings] > [Winter mode].
  2. 02Check the box next to the winter mode option to activate it.
  3. 03A snowflake symbol will appear on the battery gauge on the instrument panel during charging when the winter mode is activated.
  4. 04To cancel the winter mode, simply uncheck the box in the same manner as above.

Cautions

  • Activating the winter mode may decrease the driving range due to the consumption of battery power.
  • If the battery charge is low, the winter mode may not be effective in increasing the driving range.
  • The winter mode is only available on electric vehicles that have a battery heater.
