Up to 65 km in city driving conditions and 49 km as combined. The Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid's values have been tested in the new WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light vehicle Test Procedure) test cycle.

(1) Kia 7-year/150,000 km new car warranty

Kia battery units are built to have a long life. Kia warranty covers the battery at the time of delivery for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. The capacity reduction of the lithium-ion battery is NOT covered by the warranty. To minimize possible capacity reduction, please consult the Owner's Manual.

(4) 7-year battery warranty

Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the KIA warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs only, Kia guarantees a 65% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction of the battery in PHEV, HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. (5) Clari-Fi™ technology

JBL®  sound system comes with Clari-Fi™ technology. Digital information gets lost when compressing files into MP3. Clari-Fi™ technology helps to correct the lost high/low music tones and improves the music quality level.

(6) 7-year map update

The program is only valid for new Kia vehicles purchased after February 28, 2013 with factory installed LG navigation devices. Labour costs may be incurred at the service point for the time available to perform the update. The 7-year map update program offers six map updates, as Kia vehicles are already shipped ex works with the latest map available. The warranty of the navigation system is not affected by this program. Kia is not responsible for the quality of the card data supplied by the card data supplier HERE.

(7)  Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™

The new Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. Apple CarPlay™ is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android Auto™ and other marks are trademarks of Google Inc.

(8) Kia's Connected Services powered by TomTom Live Services

Services are free of charge for 7 years after the first connection of the navigation system to the mobile network.

(9) TomTom Speed Camera Service

Most governments and local authorities agree that the TomTom Speed Camera service makes driving safer. TomTom complies with local legislation and where necessary adapts its practice.

(11) Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is an assistance system and does not relieve the driver from his/her responsibility to safely operate the vehicle at any time. The driver still has to adapt his/her driving behaviour to his/her personal driving capabilities, to the legal requirements and to the overall road and traffic conditions.
