Operating conditions of ISG system
The ISG system will operate under following conditions:

The driver's seatbelt is fastened.

The driver's door and bonnet are closed.

The brake vacuum pressure is adequate.
-
The battery sensor is activated and the battery is sufficiently charged.

Outside temperature is not too low or too high.
-
The climate control system satisfies the conditions.
-
The vehicle is sufficiently warmed up.
-
The vehicle is not on a steep road grade. (except Manual Transmission)
-
The steering wheel is turned less than 180 degrees and then the vehicle stops (Only Automatic Transmission, Dual Clutch Transmission and Intelligent manual transmission).

The vehicle is not at a high elevation.
-
The front windscreen defroster is off.
-
You have not selected Manual shift mode.

Certain amount of time passed after releasing the gear from R (Reverse) position.
The engine will also restart automatically if the following occurs:

The brake vacuum pressure is low.
-
The engine is stopped for about 5 minutes.
-
Fogging of the windows could occur and the air conditioning is on.
-
The battery is not within optimal operating.
-
The cooling and heating performance of the climate control system is unsatisfactory.

When you press the ISG OFF button with the engine automatically stopped. (except Manual Transmission)
-
Your vehicle is moving after standstill.
-
You press the accelerator and the brake pedal at the same time. (except Manual Transmission)
-
The driver safety belt becomes unfastened or the driver door is ajar. (except Manual Transmission)
The AUTO STOP indicator () on the instrument cluster will blink for 5 seconds.
If the ISG system does not meet the operating conditions, the ISG system will be deactivated.
