How to remove ice

Flush door handles and EV charging doors can freeze and become difficult to open during extremely cold weather. Follow these steps to remove the ice:

  1. 01Tap the circumference of the flush door handle or charging door in a circular pattern using the bottom of your fist to remove the ice.
  2. 02If the door cannot be opened despite tappings, gradually increase the tapping strength to remove the ice.
  3. 03If the ice is removed and the door can be opened, open and close the door several times to remove the remaining ice.

Instead of tapping with your hands, can also use the heat from your hands or something warm, like a hand warmer, to remove the ice.

Cautions

  • Remove any jewellery or objects that could scratch or damage the vehicle's paint before tapping with your fist.
  • Avoid using excessive force or sharp objects that could damage the vehicle's surface.
