The Tournament
Eligible players take part in a round robin style tournament after the Keilor Cup.
The Kia OMBC Cup
The winning team will represent Australia at the Kia OMBC Cup in March in either the United States or Canada, against representative teams from around the world.
The FIFA World Cup 2026TM
The selected team will get to be a Kia Official Match Ball Carrier in June, at the Men's FIFA World Cup 2026, delivering the match ball at a selected game in the World Cup in either the US, Canada or Mexico.

Kia Cup

When: Sunday, 28th September


12 teams will be selected to play 2 x 10-minute halves in an Round Robin style tournament until two final teams stand.

The winner of that final will be selected to represent Australian at the Kia OMBC Cup in the United States or Canada in March 2026.

Be an OMBC with Kia

Kia has delivered match ball carrier programmes at previous FIFA World Cups including those in Qatar and Russia, giving young grassroots players the chance to walk out alongside the world's best players.

Please note that to be eligible, nominated teams MUST meet the following criteria:

1. Kia OMBC Cup players must meet the following eligibility criteria:

 

• male, born between July 2012 and June 2016 (players must be 10-14 years of age during the FIFA World Cup, which takes place in June – July 2026);

• resident of Australia;

• able to travel to the USA, Canada and/or Mexico over the period March-July 2026. This includes meeting all necessary visa and documentation requirements; and

• have parental or guardian consent to participate in the Kia OMBC Cup.

 

 

2. Kia OMBC Cup teams must meet the following eligibility criteria:

 

• consist of at least eight eligible players (seven primary players and one reserve player);

• at least one player must be born in March 2015 or later (player must be under 11 years of age during the OMBC Cup, which takes place in March 2026);

• be registered with Football Victoria or another Football Australia federation (Academy teams are not permitted to participate); and

• be registered for the Kia OMBC Cup by a responsible adult (coach, parent or guardian)
