The emissions of a vehicle under normal circumstances are known as Real Driving Emissions (RDE). Previously, emissions data were collected exclusively in a test environment. Test results were then used for car manufacturers to obtain permission to build the vehicle model. All this has changed under RDE I – EU Regulation 427/2016, which came into force in March 2016. This new regulation helps reduce the pollution emitted by new cars.

1 PEMS Test Family: Under the directive RDE I – EU regulation 427/2016, Annex 7 the PEMS Tests, on account of their special characteristics, do not have to be done for each vehicle type regarding emissions and relevant repair and maintenance information. Under certain conditions, the manufacturer is permitted to unite more than one vehicle emission type in one PEMS Test Family (see EU Regulation 427/2016).

PEMS Test Family Results: Information based on EU Regulation 427/2016 in the current valid version. Should your search deliver only incomplete or no results, your vehicle is no subject of the mentioned EU legislation or is covered by another vehicle type referred to the mentioned assumptions above respectively is certified as described within the RDE I, II – EU legislation (EU Regulations 427/2016 and 646/2016).
