The rear-camera display helps you spot things behind your vehicle that you might not see when you look over your shoulder. The rear-camera display and back-up warning system are not substitutes for proper and safe backing-up procedures. Always drive safe and use caution when backing up. Not available on all models and trims.
Dual front airbags and seat-mounted side airbags guard the driver and front passenger. Full-length side-curtain airbags help protect occupants in all three row seats and are complemented by a sensor designed to deploy the airbags in certain rollover situations. In addition, V8 models feature a driver's knee airbag. For maximum protection, always wear your safety belt.
ESC provides you with improved directional stability, which helps you maintain better control in difficult driving situations. ESC monitors and assists in the control of key vehicle functions. It then brakes individual wheels and reduces engine power accordingly to attempt to help you maintain your intended course.
A LATCH system, including anchors on the back of the second-row seats, makes it easy to secure child seats.
The monitoring system includes air pressure sensors located at each wheel. if a tire reaches a specified low air pressure, a warning light alerts you. Even with the Tire-Pressure Monitoring System, always check your tire pressure on a regular basis.
Placement in the side mirrors makes your signal more visible to others.
Heated outside mirrors are designed to stay clear in cold weather. Not available on all models and trims.
Each door is reinforced with steel beams to absorb impact energy and deflect side-impact force. Both A and B pillars are reinforced to help minimize damage.
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent wheel lock-up and maintain steering control.
The advanced Traction Control System can sense wheel spin during acceleration. When it does, it uses a combination of engine power and brake force to transfer power to the wheels that have the most traction, providing both increased control and enhanced response.
The Electronic Brake-Force Distribution system uses a network of sensors to determine and apply the appropriate braking pressure at each wheel, helping to enhance your control.
Downhill Brake Control is particularly helpful on steep slopes. using the Anti-lock Braking System, it holds your Borrego's speed steady, up to 5 mph, so you can concentrate on steering.
When stopped on a steep hill, a vehicle may roll once the driver releases the brake. Hill Assist Control helps by gently applying brakes for two seconds while you move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.
Borrego's back-up warning system provides an audible warning that complements the available rear camera display's visual capabilities. When certain objects are behind you, ultrasonic sensors detect them, and alert you with a series of beeps. The system helps prevent you from hitting hard-to-see objects. The rear-camera display and back-up warning system are not substitutes for proper and safe backing-up procedures. Always drive safe and use caution when backing up. Not available on all models and trims.
