We believe you shouldn't have to pay more for class-leading safety features. So we've given the Rio a wealth of advanced active and passive safety equipment to help protect you and your passengers.


ADVANCED PROTECTION.
Six standard airbags are part of Rio’s advanced supplement restraint system (SRS). This airbag system monitors the severity of an impact, the presence of a front passenger and seatbelt use, and then controls airbag inflation accordingly.¹

TOUGH STEEL BODY
High-tensile-steel side-impact door beams and reinforced pillars provide added protection in the event of cerain side collisions.

CONTROLLED BRAKING
Available anti-lock brakes provide greater vehicle control when stopping in difficult driving conditions.
